Grounding is a therapeutic technique used to help individuals reconnect with the present moment, especially during times of distress, anxiety, or dissociation. By engaging the senses or focusing on the body’s connection to the physical world, grounding can provide a sense of stability and control, making it a valuable tool for those who struggle with maintaining control of emotions, easily feel panicked, or feel disconnected. It can be useful in daily life or in therapy work.
